In today's economy, information technology budgets are continually shrinking. Despite budget cuts, businesses have an overwhelming dependency on information technology. Without the availability and integrity of information systems, most businesses would find it hard to compete in today's market. So, why join the Utah chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA)? One of the primary reasons is to build relationships and share information with other professionals here in Utah. Our chapter offers local bi-monthly chapter meetings and an annual seminar on topics of interest to our members--focused resources beyond those available from the international organization. |
These meetings and the seminar provide our members an opportunity to examine security issues, concerns, possible resolutions, and available products, and to develop a local knowledge base to assist each other. The meetings and seminar provide members an opportunity to earn continuing education credits to meet professional certification requirements--approximately 24 per year. Chapter members also receive seminar discounts from local business and organizations (ISACA, IIA, (ISC)2, SANS). This local training can reduce the demands on your organization's training budget. |
